The remains of Gerhard Ruger were 'disposed of' by local troops and received no formal burial, the burial site being unmarked and unrecorded. As such, he remains oficially 'missing'. See Blitz Then & Now Volume 1 p315.

Hmmmmm......
But his Bordfunker, Edmund Ernst, certainly was not killed. He bailed out into captivity. Met him in the 1980s.
