Having trouble with this record, can anyone help?
Can anyone help me with this record. I an not sure what 3 GTF/GTS is, my first thought was glider Training Squadron/flight, but were there any Glider training schools in March 1941? Geoff was a Wellington pilot and it would appear he only lasted a week in this unit before he was KiA!

Re: Having trouble with this record, can anyone help?
This has been the subject of discussion on three forums!! Between everyone the mystery has been solved. Geoff was at 3 Group Training Flight based at Stradishall. Shot down while ferrying Wellingtons to the Middle EAst.
Thanks everyone for your help. Jerry |

The first Slingsby T.6 Kirby Kite gliders were delivered to the RAF in 1940. The Slingsby T.3 Dagling gliders were delivered soon after that.
