Hello,
In the diary of XII.Fliegerkorps, soon to be I.Jagdkorps, you will see/read references to the XII.Fliegerkorps into October 1943. Korpstagebefehl no.1 in this source is dated 24.10.1943, the previous Korpstagebefehle lacked any numbers, suggesting that the I.Jagdkorps inofficialy existed already. Coincidentally this 24.10.1943 was the same day that Hermann Goering visited the NJG 1 at Deelen. The farewell party for Josef Kammhuber as General der Nachtjagd was held on 12th November 1943.
