Re: Standort bei Berlin airport
Thank you Nick,
The German word is , "Standortmeldung", the word is out of the , "kriegstagebuch" from U-98, when commander Gysee is asked to be on the outlook for , die Flieger, returning from a mission to Iceland during the 19th and 20th of 1941. The order is direct from O.K.W. to the U-boat with priority higher than O.K.M. and B.d.U. O.K.W. was a Berlin based HQ but this is to me as an airport south of Berlin or close to Munich/Munchen or somewhere in between. This could be the airport used by the O.K.W. for clandistine operations and or transport of orders. If this is connected to " Deutsche Wehrmacht Reichsluftwaffe", it takes me into NATO air base Neubiberg ex US Air Force base. But I am still in the dark about the O.K.W. bases out of Berlin. Could this be an airfield on the Russian side of Berlin operated by Prussian Germans. Anyone. Thank you. |
