This loss is mentioned by Lucien Morareau on p29 of his L’Aéronautique Navale Française (Hors Série Avions No1). Details of the aircraft came from an unpublished list compiled by Morareau which I received from a well-respected Belgian researcher. As you rightly suppose, the number in brackets is the serial number while the other number was the fuselage code. As you say, these were not always the same number which can lead to confusion.
