Hi Christian,
I´m a german WWII photo collector. Ernst Eggerdinger was born 9th July 1923. I know I´ve had a photo from him. But I don´t know where it is.

May 12 suspiciously matches up with big airbattle between LW and 8th AF on May 12, 1944 - the 'day' the oil campaign started. This also day Rall shot down by Rankin.
I know the 4th and 56th FG had a big engagement round the Frankfurt (?) area (i am away from my references) and possibly 357 and 352 also
