137 Squadron Whirlwind Codes

Hi

I'm hoping that some of you out there might be able to help me with my research into the following Whirlwinds.

P7058 SF-G
Can anyone confirm the squadron code for this machine?

P7063 SF-?
P7114 SF-?
Does anyone know the squadron codes for these machines please?

Did any of them have personalised markings of any kind?

I would also be very keen to obtain copies of any photos of these machines.

They were all on strength with 137 Sqn in early 1943. Courtesy of Bingham's book I know their fates but would like to know their id's.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Paul

Hi Paul,

Jerry Brewer confirm this in reply on 11 September 2007 in this forum, regarding my question to air victories of Whirlwinds.

Phil Listemann is shortly to publish a history of 137Sqn written by Chris Thomas of 2TAF/Typhoon/Tempest fame! Check out http://www.raf-in-combat.com/
