Some of the other losses for 7/JG54 in the Dec-Jan ( I do not know their movements) period mention Velikje Luki. On the Google maps to the east is a place called Velikopol'e and under the name is a longer spelling starting with B which has some of the letters of the location you say. In the Luftwaffe QM's list it shows 10420 as 20% was it recovered by the Germans? I see that Lt.Rupp fell in combat attacking B-17's on 15-5-43 his body washed ashore Cuxhaven on 19-6-43, the source shows him as holding the RK with 50 victories, Regards Brian Bines
