Hello gentleman ,
If you check the Volksbund site , you will find that Fw Wiegand Karl 09/03/1923 Hannover was killed on 12/04/1944 but they give as place of lost Stoumont Belgium. Wiegand was buried at Brustem near St-Trond airfield , so if he was lost over France why would he be buried in Belgium. A few years ago this question was put up on this forum and looking at that i " think " that he was on board of that Ju-52 who crashed at Stoumont on 29/01/1944. Unfortenally we can check when he was buried at Brustem. Greets Alain57 |
