It is a fact that two FA 330 Bachsteltze were delivered on board "Komet" in September 1942 for use on the ships second voyage. They were both tested on 28. September by factory pilots with very negative results. The ships captain complained heavily and wanted to put the two planes ashore. My sources says nothing about allocations of further aircraft.

Brocksein (the captain) did not like them at all, but I believe that he was prejudiced against them from the start. If they remained aboard, I understand this would be the only non-Uboat operational assignment for the type. The replacement Arado will be clarified when I can get to the file again. Bruce
