LAC "E" Wigglesworth 88 Sqn France 1940
All
This is the first of a number of France 'Bale Out' incidents I am trying to get the correct name for LAC "E" Wigglesworth was part of the crew of Battle P2247 of 88 Sqn that baled out over Pont-sur-Yonne, France on 24 March 1940 Other two crew were F/O David Leslie Russell Halliday (pilot)#39206 and Sgt Stanley Charles Boyton #560016 However I cannot find an LAC "E" Wigglesworth on AIR 78 to match He is also listed in Battle of France Then and Now in relation to Battle K9348 of 88 Sqn on 19th May with the "LAC E Wigglesworth inj " I have found in Air Ministry Casualty Communique No. 33 of June 1940 under wounded in action "L.A/C. T. Wigglesworth # 537945" who is Thomas Wigglesworth is it possible this is the same man or can anyone suggest who LAC 'E' Wigglesworth of 88 Sqn was Many Thanks Paul McMillan |
