2 Lt. George Lenz Jr.

Could anyone help me find out where Lt. Lenz was initially buried? He was lost on December 29, 1944 as a bombardier (serial number 0-2056858) with the 720th Bomb Squadron, 450th Bomb Group. The mission was to Brenner Pass area and the B-24 was downed by flak. I have the MACR, have found a lot of his life history from local sources (he was from my hometown) and even from an ex-crewmate but I cannot find his initial burial site. No relatives are around and I do not know his wife's name after she re-married and whether his son, George III, would have taken that name as well. The Germans recovered his dog tags, so his body was found. I also believe at one point he was returned to the States but have not pinned that down, either. He has a headstone in the Little Rock National Cemetery, Arkansas. I am awaiting his IDPF from St. Louis, but if my past record with them is an indication, his file was probably lost in the fire.
