Oberfeldwebel Ludwig Martin - Lost over England in March 1941?
Hi,
Could anyone provide information concerning an Oberfeldwebel Ludwig Martin, pilot, who was lost on the 23rd March 1941on a flying mission. Was he lost on a mission against England? Could you please provide details concrning unit and aircraft. Many thanks. Rick |

He was not lost on a combat mission neither was he lost over UK. He was from Erg AufklOBdL flying a Ju 88 A-5, Wk Nr 516 coded PB+GN which crashed at Aslau-Kuepper killing him, Fw Ferdinand Temme, Uffz Berthold Schimpf & Gefr Erhard Steinbauer

All it says is non-combat and cause of crash not known.
I have taken a break from book writing this year due to promotion/changes of job but will start writing again soon. I have a contract to write a book on nocturnal fighter-bombers for Classic which I am about to start and will be out mid-next year, I am also concentrating on articles |
