The product you offer to me was shot to 16h16. The research that I crashed Night (2300). In the archives of Eure, mentioned that the two victims were Canadian and a Canadian airman named "Gordon Shervin" was rescued by a farmer

Hi,

According to the excellent book "2nd Tactical Air Force" by Shores & Thomas, the Mitchell II MQ-J/FV989 from the 226 Sqn crashed on 18/8/44 at 03.00 h. Two airmen were killed : F/Sgt Brett and F/Sgt Bate; and two evaded capture : F/Sgt Sherwin and Sgt Stuart. With the name Sherwin, I think it is your aircraft.

It's been so long that I want that but I remain cautious as you said, the name of Sherwin may be evidence. I would like to believe so!
Now, we must be sure the device is well researched and know what the survivors are now and where are buried the dead!
Nevertheless, I thank you for your research. You've done good work. Bravo!

After some researches on the CWGC site I have found that P/O Robert A. Brett (pilot) and F/Sgt James A. Batt (gunner) from the 226 Sqn were killed on 18/8/1944 and buried in a joint grave now in the cemetery of St Sever, Rouen. In fact there are two minor mistakes in the book, the grade of the pilot and in the name of the gunner.

I went to Internal and I found it on "RAF Commands" confirmation for the crash.
