Here is what we have about this fellow:
WITTE, Wolfgang. (DOB: 15.07.14). 07.09.40 Oblt., WIA after bailout due engine failure 10 km S of L’Aigle, W of Dreux/France. 01.07.42 promo to Hptm. 09.02.43 trf from Stab/Luftgaukdo. XI to Ob.d.L. pool. 23.08.44 Hptm., appt Staka 1./KG 55, then KG (J) 55 (to 22.02.45). 02.02.45 Hptm., Staka 1./KG (J) 55, seriously injured near Laiblfing (Straubing area) during a training flight; died 22.02.45. A check of the Kracker Archive reveals nothing. We hope that this helps. HLdZ DGS
