The easiest way to check dates for USAS/USAAF/USAF victory credits is at the AF Historical Research Agency. Their online database is at http://www.au.af.mil/au/afhra/avc.asp
This will give you date, rank, unit. For Korea and later it will give you the type claimed. It will not give you location or time. There is no similar online database for USN or USMC claims. Frank.
