Dortmund/Essen Raid - late May 1941 - Request - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Hello all,
Can anyone tell me which Bomber Command squadron's were involved in the raid on Dortmund & Essen on either 29/30th. 30/31st May or 31st May/1st June 1941? Thank you in advance for any information shared.

Hello ,
According Bomber Command Losses in 1941 by Chorley there was a Whitley from 78 sqdn Z6484 lost on a mission to Kiel.

Hello,
I found no Bomber Command attacks in the period you mentioned for Dortmund&Essen.
I only found: 8/9 june 1941 Dortmund
37 Whitleys; poor bombing owing to industrial haze. no losses.
