Norwich Dornier

Ruy

Have you removed this thread?

I replied and Peter is obviously querying its removal.

It is not as offensive as some! I think we were making headway.

Cheers
Brian

Re: Norwich Dornier

Brian,

I have not questioned its removal - that is for the moderator to decide. The last I saw of it was my post to Rogier earlier today that acknowledged his source for believing that the Wickhambrook Dornier was an 8./KG76 aircraft.

Re: Norwich Dornier

Hi Peter

My reference was to the Question Mark symbol beside your name on the Main Menu Page (Luftwaffe and Axis Air Forces) - apologies for my assumption being incorrect.

In my last posting (deleted) I made reference to the fact that the photograph of the Wickhambrook Dornier was taken by a 'Bury Free Press' photographer (I can't recall his name off hand but have it in my files), from whom I requested permission many moons ago to have it copied from his original glass plates donated to the Suffolk Record Office in Bury St Edmunds. As far as I am aware the glass plates are still in situ and the copyright remains with the family.

I might add that, due to my generous nature, I loaned the copy to a 'friend' who then 'criminally' made a copy and distributed to others!

I hope Ruy will reinstate the thread.

Cheers
Brian

Re: Norwich Dornier

Brian,

I suspect that the photographer you mention was named Lambert ?
