Re: Staka. 5./StG 77 Question.

A search of our files does not provide a clear answer. It looks like Herbert Piske ay be the one, but there are too many holes in our data to have much confidence in that.

For the period in question, the data we have for the Stakas of 5./St.G. 77 are:

Oblt./Hptm. Heinz-Günther Amelung (DKG, RK) (01.09.40 - 07.42)
Lt. Herbert Piske (? - ?) - possibly a Stafü.
Oblt. Karl Fitzner (DKG, RK) (1943? - 08.07.43 KIA).
Oblt. Günther Ludigkeit (DKG) (07.43 - 1944?).
