Is your work at this book still under way? The US owned Kranich was stored by the USAAF during WWII at Clinton County Army Air Field aka well-known CCAAF, Wilmington, Ohio. The CCAAF had its own photo archive in the USAAC/USAAF structure. In the period you are interested in that US Army glider base marked its photographs by signatures from 77475 up to 198386. That's a place for you to research. Regards
