Re: Junkers Ju-88A-4 W.Nr. 10096 / Stammkennzeichen

I don’t have a Vbkz. of the V7 and I doubt whether this aircraft ever got an Vbkz. According to my documents these early Mistels got its Vbkz. at Kolberg like the V5. In contrast to the V5 the V7 was ferried directly from Nordhausen to St. Dizier.

Re: Junkers Ju-88A-4 W.Nr. 10096 / Stammkennzeichen

I don't have the Mistel book either, but there were 2 Ju 88s from KG 101 recorded lost on 13-Jun-44:

Ju 88A-4, 8765, Scheiberle, Ltn. Herbert, , E.St., KG 101, , 5T+BX, , , 13-Jun-44, MIA with crew, cause unknown., , Lfl.3, BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/779, Flzg.-Unfälle bei Schulen usw., p.101, , , 100%, E, , ,
Ju 88A-4, 140366, Schönherr, Oblt. Emil, , E.St., KG 101, , 5T+FX, , , 13-Jun-44, MIA with crew, cause unknown., , Lfl.3, BA-MA Signatur RL 2 III/779, Flzg.-Unfälle bei Schulen usw., p.101, , , 100%, E, , ,

Where these Mistels? Have nothing for 14/15-Jun-44, but the Lw losses are certainly not always accurate or complete. The WNr. 10096 suggests that this may have been a Ju 88G-1 WNr. 710096? The 109 WNr. 10130 certainly has the SKZ 'CD+LX' and according to one source I have was lost on 15-Jun.

Hi, Thenelm

Forsyth mentions only four Mistel of 2./KG of 101 in St Dizier. One I mentioned above (White 5) and more these three, below.

* Mistel 1 (V7), arrived from Nordhausen in 10 june 1944.

* Mistel S1 (V8), Bf 109 (NA+YS)/Ju-88 (CN+FK) arrived in St Dizier in 18 june 1944. This aircraft was assigned the tactical number 'White 1' by KG 101.

* Mistel S1 (V12), Bf 109 (DE+VK)/Ju-88 (GI+QH) arrived in St Dizier in 19 june 1944.

There are many pictures in the book of the 'White' 1, 2, 3 and 4 at St Dizier, in June 1944.

Cheers,
Franklin

Incorrect suggestion. No Ju 88 G-1´s that I know of were between the prototypes (V58 W.Nr. 700001, V59 W.Nr. 700002) and G-1 W.Nr. 710401 etc.

Best regards

Re: Junkers Ju-88A-4 W.Nr. 10096 / Stammkennzeichen

Hi people,

I found in this forum the following information about the Bf 109 F-4/CD + LX/WNr 10 130:

"Die CD+LX wurde übrigens zusammen mit der Ju 88/GD+JN als Mistelgespann Anfang Juni 1944 in Nordhausen erprobt."

http://www.luftwaffe-bullet-board.co...972ff0d55ddb18

This Ju-88A-4 is the same as that in Normandy was lost on 13/14 June 1944, when piloted by Ofw. Heinz Lochmüller?

Many thanks for your help!

Cheers,
Franklin
