Re: Pilots of Jagdgruppe Süd and Jagdgruppe 200

Thanks to everybody for comments and information.
@Desiro:
Do you have a source or coherence for me, where Herbert Bonak is mentioned as member of this unit?

@Nick
It is possible, he appeared on a list on a list of another researcher in coherence with JGr. 200. I'm not sure too, if this is a confusion with the unit.

@Erich
Thanks for this also very interesting information.

So I will add the 2 new names to my list. If somebody needs detailed information about one of the mentioned pilots, please let me know. For some of them, we have so some background information.

This collection was created by collecting the names from:
-The few documents about this unit from german archives
-Loss records
-WASt
-Volksbund
-Flight book collections
-Collections from other researches
-information from the web, forums...

Regards from bavaria

It would be better if you post the list here as an excel file or word file. Than it's easier to check. Do you mean with this list that all the pilots who went through JGr Süd for training are included also?

John

Re: Pilots of Jagdgruppe Süd and Jagdgruppe 200

Hi John,
you are right, i will also ad soon an excell sheet on the page, that's more comfortable to read.
In this collection, we have all pilots, we could indentify in coherence to the mentioned units. We do not differentiate in this list between instructors or trained pilots (Only in the detailed version of each pilot information, as far as possible).

>>Do you mean with this list that all the pilots who went through JGr Süd for training are included also?
No, not all, as it is very hard to identify them, if they have not left any traces in the mentioned sources.

So of course, the collection is not yet 100% complete, and I'm afraid, it will never be.

But by sharing this information of the current list, i hope to get more and more information to improuve amount and details :-)

Greetings

Lino
