Re: Wekusta 1

I don't have anything. Of course, if damaged was assessed as <10% it may not have been reported.

Re: Wekusta 1

I have the following on this incident:
Junkers Ju 88 7D+AH of Wetterkette Stavanger (a detachment of Wekusta 1) made a belly landing at Stavanger-Sola on 10 April, 1943, causing 40 per cent damage, According to Dr. Martin Teich, a report on the accident was radioed to the unit's Zwischenahn main base. The unhurt crew consisted of Ofw. Walter Zückert (pilot), Wd.Ob.Insp.Karl Trappe (Met.observer), Ofw.Felix Dominiak (wireless operator) og Ofw Werner Christensen or Christiansen (flight engineer), ..

The aircraft had taken off from Sola at 05.04 hrs, and had ben involved in aerial combat without sustaining damage. but when returning to Sola at 12.05 hrs. the aircraft overshot. To avoid coming off the end of the runway, Ofw. Zückert retracted the undercarriage, causing a belly landing.

In case you didn't know, Wd.Ob.Insp. is short for Wetterdienst-Oberinspektor.
