Seeking ID of this force-landed Do17P

Hello,

Is anyone familiar with this Do17P force landing, or have any other photos of it that might provides codes, location, date, etc.? I'm guessing a recon unit during the WC.

Thanx,

Contrary to your other post showing indeed Do 17 P, this one I believe, is Do 17 M

Re: Seeking ID of this force-landed Do17P

Pawel,
what makes you think this is an M instead of a P-version?

Larry,
The location looks like a typical Belgium Ardennes area, although one can never be sure. If we take the wider range of areas with a similar nature, and select Do-17 reconnaissance a/c that made an emergency landing during the first days of the WC, I come to the following list:
10-5 2(F)/123 4U+HK Schinnen, Netherlands
12-5 1(H)/21 Merzig (Luxembourg)
12-5 4(F)/11 Luxembourg
13-5 4(F)/11 Vielsalm (B)
15-5 4(F)/14 Givet
Note that all these are listed as Do-17P; if it would need to be a do-17M my list reduces to zero.

Regards, Pieter

It's the engine setup, for example supercharger intake
Do 17 Ms were quite common in recon units.

Re: Seeking ID of this force-landed Do17P

Hello,

So Pawel and/or Remi, can either of you propose an identification for this one beyond Pieter's listing, based on this being a Do17M?

Regards,

These three

9 6 40 3 ST STG1 F X X DO17M 100 1 2 AF09SAB A-296040-RL74
25 5 40 3 ST STG2 F X F J DO17M 100 1 3 AE25SAC Sch,liste
24 5 40 3 ST STG77 F Rocroi b, N MSTO DO17M 80 2 AE24SAA Sch,liste

the second probably crashed rather vertically so not a good candidate, the first hv two prisoners, the third 2 dead
