Many thanks for your excellent help in this question. At least now I know that the incident did not occur in aerial combat as I previously thought and that it is nearly certain that both aircraft were Fw 190 A-8 subtypes. One more minor mystery cleared up and I thank both of you for your time. Horrido! Leo

Hello,
Does anyone has some new info on the Uffz. Wollien who was killed in a collision with Lt Wernicke on 27.12.44 ? I found the following in the VDK DB-base who seems to match with the above one. - Flieger Horst Wollin, Born 06.08.1920 at Berlin-Schöneberg, Died 27.12.44 über Kurland. I searched the internet on the name Wollien but no hits at all except the ones of the Uffz. Wollien. So my idea is that Wollien must be a typo in the known documents. I changed the name in my list to Uffz. Horst Wollin. Any info about the aircraft sub-types, Wnr and codes if known wold be welcome too. Thanks in advance. Regards, Patrick
