Thanks for the great information, guys!
I started my research with the Luftwaffe losses over Holland, as listed by 'airwar39-45'. This list says that Von Holtey's plane ditched in the south of the IJsselmeer, though other sources also mention that it crashed near De Klomp. This site is located way under the IJsselmeer, so that is quite confusing when trying to locate the possible wreck. Now I read all posts and look at the information I have, I guess that it crashed on the land instead of the cold and dark water of the lake. Unfortunately I have no picture of the aircraft. If I would find a picture I will contact you, Larry. |
