Re: Seeking confirmation of I./KG30 losses from Luftflotte V raid (Driffield) on E Coast England on 15.8.40 and other info on Ju88 losses on that raid

Hello again,

I didn't put this in my original post because I had to confirm some info with Peter Cornwell first. Regarding the three Ju88As from KG30 that came down in England on 15.8.40, we have excellent photos of the 3./KG30 loss, 4D+KL, force-landed and burned out at the crash site, and the fully intact 7./KG30 loss, 4D+DR, both on site and later on display. What we still need are photos of the crashed and exploded remains of 4D+DM that crashed at Alburn Farm, Fraisthorpe, S of Bridlington, with all crew killed. Does anyone know of any contemporary photos of the wreckage or crash site for this third Ju88 crash? I have a good photo of it on a German airfield before it was shot down, but no photos of it crashed.

Who can help?

Regards,
