Ju-52 loss 23-24 February 1942

Howdy,

Is there a record of a Ju-52 "4V+AB" being lost on 23 or 24 February 1942 in Russia? If so, are the crew listed?

Thankyou
Dave

Possible is Ju 52/3m serial 5616, KGr.zbV 172 damaged at Airbase Demjansk, damage given with 30% no crew given (no one hurt).

KGr. zbV 172 planes use marking 4V+

Thanks both for your replies. Jim, are you referring to "4V+AB"? Wait up, just had a peek at the Volksbund site and found this fella:
Nachname:Blumenstein
Vorname:Rudolf Georg
Dienstgrad:Unteroffizier
Geburtsdatum:30.07.1918
Geburtsort:Naumburg/Saale
Todes-/Vermisstendatum:24.02.1942
Todes-/Vermisstenort: Demjansk

I guess you are talking about one of the planes mentioned by khorat.

Hi Matti, great, thanks for the information. Seems the plane had different codes ("BJ+EN" in one sources and "4V+KH" in yours).

'BJ+EN' was the Stammkennzeichen for the machine.
