Fascinating!
I don't recall any Soviet fighters on that day. Maybe I was looking the other way?? And although ours was 'confirmed', I'm not happy with that. That's me setting out. = Tim PS - just checked with a friend on the other squadron & he can't recall them either.....?? PPS - just been thinking - I cannot understand how ANY of that raid made it home. For my part, it was because I was a poor shot - couldn't hit a Pheasant!!
