Re: JG2 Pilot pic needed and combat diary for 11/08/40
An interesting pilot. Claimed a I-16 with 2./JG88 on 13th March 1938. Awarded the Spanienkreuz mit Schwerten. Seems to have been a Staffelkapitan of 1./ZG2 before becoming the Staffelkapitan of 7./JG2 in May 1940. Also claimed a Curtiss on 21st May 1940 West of Compiegne at 1920 hrs, and a Spitfire over Ashford at 1410 hrs on 6th September 1940, as well as the Spitfire already mentioned at 1153 hrs on 11th August 1940.
Don't know his fate, but believe that he did not survive the war. Regards Johannes
