I might be way, way out but is 3# 9./JG77? which would make it Yellow 12. Its the only unit emblem I could tie it to.

What do you think?

One of the picture (#8) is White 12, 4./JG 77, Lt. Georg Schirmböck, Trontheim-Vaernes, 23 of April 1940... But #3 ???
Did I miss something?

Ok it's an open hatch above the fuel triangle. Should have checked the plans.

I have #8 as Bf109E White12 4./JG77 or Lt Georg Schirmböck and the picture has already been on eBay several times before which makes the vendor as bigger liar as his namesake/handle name!

Now if only the same was true of some other types!

Very possible but most important is how much of this photo material is saved? But every new image is great thing for all of us, no matter is it historian or plastic modeler.
