I have details of 2 losses to 4/126 this day but as 252 Sqn were not flying, I have nothing on 16 Sqn's involvement. In respect of 1 Jun 44 I have a photo of the 16 Sqn loss in that action hence my earelier request about the crew taken POW

Yep. Got it as 4 Dec 43.
What gen do you have for him on ? Haupt?? (1 Jun 44) Crashlanded Crete and made POW. Be good Stefaan

Thanks to David Pausey, mystery is solved-it was 252 Sqn who got the later (taxiing) Ar 196

I found the attached in National Archives HW5/397 (the image is a composite because the message goes over two pages).
P.S. I just noticed this one in passing while looking for something else, I have hardly anything else from either Greece or 1943.
