The main aircraft in the second photo is definitely a Fairey Battle, and there is a second Fairey Battle tail unit just behind it (K9383, 'Z' of 226 Sqn.). There is another view of these at the top of page 25 in issue 109 of AIR ENTHUSIAST. Other E-Bay photos have shown the serial for K9383. The location is Reims. That earthen bank shows up in many views of Reims. It would be great to see that wreck from the other side ! Regards, Martin Gleeson.
