Hello Oberst,
I'm not an expert concerning this, but it's clear - not on this picture, but on the other two - that it's typically an Erla build Bf109G-10. DELCAMPE caption is giving 25/12/1944 and, effectively one JG3 Bf109G-14/AS - at least one known - was shot down that date; that one was shot down on 24/12 and it's registered as written in my caption. Remember (one year ago) I did ask what was that very same plane after having discovered it in Hitchcock book. Answer - short - was Bf109G-10 when in this book it is/was captionned as a K-4. At least, I've learned something in these columns with the help of many. Tschüss Oberst; Franck. |
