The curator there suggested that I should consult the Operations Record Books for the Squadrons that operated Beauforts at these dates; 217, 22, 42 and 86 Squadron. "These books are effectively unit dairies and give account of a unit's activities on a day to day basis, these books are held at the National Archives in Kew, London." This will be checked when I visit Kew in Novermber. Anyone that has used these ORB's?
Easy to navigate? By the way, how far from Kew is The museum with the tube? It's quite a way north, I can see on Google. These must be the files I will be checking: 217 Squadron - AIR 27/1341, but maybe first AIR 27/1345 or AIR 27/1346 22 Squadron - AIR 27/280 42 Squadron - AIR 27/439 - AIR 27/442 86 Squadron - AIR 27/708 Atle
