Re: 4./JG 54, where was it in January-April 1944
When looking at the II./JG 54(http://www.ww2.dk/air/jagd/jg54.htm) it mentions:
"4./JG54 was attached to III./JG54 from 2.43 - 6.44 (see III./JG54 bases)." can 6.44 be a typo and should be 6.43? I think so because the inventory page(http://www.ww2.dk/oob/bestand/jagd/biijg54.html) for II./JG 54 mentions: "From 6.43 to 2.44 4./JG54 are listed seperately, see below. During this period II./JG54 operated under Luftflotte 4, and 4./JG54 under Luftflotte 1." and Luftflotte 1 isn't in the west it covers Heeresgruppe Nord. |
