Thank you for the information you shared. This set of plates was taken by a GI at the Regensburg airfield in 1945. I find it interesting to think that the Ju87 may have been outfitted to tow gliders. And, certainly, the Jumo 210 was used on the Ju87A, not the Ju87D. Hi Steve,
it was not uncommon for Stuka units to transfer from Germany to the front with DFS 230 in tow for their support personnel. This way they arrived at the same time and there was no delay which a transfer by rail for the support people may have caused. Norbert |
