Re: List of claims for JG 54 in August 1941?
Beside I-153 12. KOAE had also at least 2 even more 3 or 4 Jak-1, which had got in August 1941 from 71. IAP WWS KBF. These Jaks were also used over Saaremaa.
Code I-18 was used, if right remember, for marking Jak-1 or MiG-3, I-153 was mostly called as Curtiss, and it was easy to make distinction between Jak-1 and I-153. It is possible that for the excort of DB-3T were used also one or 2 Jak-1 with I-153s. I do not know pilot's name of the shot down plane. Jak-1 could be damaged during this battle?
