Re: Looking for further information concerning some German bombing attacks of Britain on Oct. 6, 1940

The sheer task of transcribing all the known raid data (from contemporary ARP, CD and Police records) would be absolutely huge. How, and where, would you begin? And what would be the criteria for recording relevant data and determining what might not be relevant? More importantly, who might you get to gather the information? There may well be some out there (like me) who have gathered snippets from localised reports for specific regions, or for periods that interest them. Possibly you might be able to get some contribution from these specialists, but I am at a loss to know how else you might begin to meaningfully gather together the sort of data you want. |
