Re: captured german planes in color

Prien and Rodeike (in their Bf 109 F,G,K study) give the introduction date of these wings/main wheels as "end of 1944".
BTW: "Yellow 11" could off course also be a G-8 variant! Werknummer range 200... would fit the observations made by Janowicz, too. Did not think of this in my first post..

Regards,
Christian

Re: captured german planes in color

Hello everyone,

I have quite a few additional shots of this 109. I have it listed as:

Bf109G-6/R2, WNr. 230785, 11+ Y, from an unknown NAG.

230785, an old bird of the 3.NAGr.1, on 4.March 45 "flugklar" nd used by 3.NAGr.13, but on 28.March with 3.NAGr.1 had an "Rollschaden" in Fritzlar

Re: captured german planes in color

Hi Guys,

nothing to say except:
Thanks Steve, Remi & Christian!...
And thank to me, too, since, some times, we have to use "Forceps" to get the right answer !!!! .

If I dare, that "Rollschaden" in March 1945 woud explain that wing change... some kind of a confirmation of that plane identity.

Cheers, Franck.
