Great Bundesarchiv shots taken in 1939

Hi there Gang,

Today I found an incredibly and very graphic (beware!) site which uploads thousands of WWII pics. Among them, on the first of the so far 154 (!) pages, a very fine selection of Bf 109's, Ju 87's (one coded T6+AH), He 11 and He 115 can be seen.

I'm still far from having seen it all (so far some 10 pages), so many other finds are possible. As said, beware, the contents are sometimes very graphical and do show quite a lot of hanged partisans or SS guards, as many dead soldiers. All told, a gripping selection which is sourced from many national archives (among them Denmark, Poland) with for me an incredible amount of new pics.

Cheers
Marc

Marc,

Very good archive. Many of the Luft photos I've seen posted on the BA site. I very quickly scanned through the first 10 pages and didn't see the Ju87B T6+AH (1./StG2). Can you tell me what page where this one is posted?

Thanx,

Re: Great Bundesarchiv shots taken in 1944-45

Thanks Marc-André for pointed out this website - I hate the bannerpage - but page “44” there are plenty pictures about the period you like (44 and 45) with many wrecks.

Fantastic collection of photo's!

Whenever I look at 'time'period' photo's I'm always consumed with curiosity as to what happened to the people in them.

Merci Bertrand!

Can't agree more with you about the banner; but the pics are just amazing. I be never seen so many execution and mass murdering of Jews as it happened. An overwhelming testimony...

And thanks for your pointer; I'm still at page 28...

Jim; agreed. Many captions are really informative though giving the places, dates and names of the soldiers or people in the pics. I've never seen this on such a scale...

Re: Great Bundesarchiv shots taken in 1939

p. 28 has also a lot of Luftwaffe content:

- Me 210's from Versuchstaffel 210
- Ju 87' from ST.G. 2 and ST.G. 6
- Ju 88's from KG 77.
- Bf 109's from JG 54

P. 29 has an exceptional serie of BV 141 and great Me 323 pics.

Cheers
