Re: US aircraft wrack to id.
A lot of those parts carry stamps associated with Douglas. The inked elongate D with numbers inside and the strange B with the 1111 in it are Douglas stamps. I've seen both at sites in the UK and they are also on Craig Fuller's list of US stamps.
As for aircraft type, it could be C-47, A-20 (or Boston / Havoc in UK or Russian colours) or B-24 (they built a lot under contract) or anything else which came from Douglas plants. |
