So a copy has just arrived UPS a few days after I ordered it.
It certainly is a labor of love. While it is not cheap (although less than many vanilla academic books these days), they are not going to be making a lot of books like this in the future, with lots of interviews with the people that were involved. I'll buy just about anything on WW2 allied air transport operations, but this merits the attention of those with broader interests. If nothing else, you'll be able to resell it to the unit history collectors that buy books but do not actually read them or use them for research! It should come as no surprise the author's father was a navigator in the 13th TCS.
