He 111 lost 11.10.1942 (D1+HH)

Looking for information on a He 111 lost on 11.10.1942 in the Aegean Sea. Code of plane was D1+HH (1 Aufkl. Gr. See 126 ?)

Where hv you found the code ??

Hi, many thanks. Code comes from a transcript of missions. Pilot was a Lt Altner (hard to read).

Bei einem engen Sicherungsflug für ein eigenes Geleit stürzte die Besatzung Lt. Joachim Altner (He 111H-6 W.Nr. 7825, 6N+HH, 7./K.G. 100) um 16.19 Uhr, infolge Ölrohrbruch, ab und versank im Meer. Die Besatzung konnte verletzt gerettet werden. [Ulf Balke 'Kampfgeschwader 100']

Interesting, that your source gives the code D1+, it could (or should) be, as Aufkl.Gr. 126 was renamed III./K.G. 100 for some time.
