Re: Trying to confirm forced-landing of He111 of 9./KG4, 5J+KT, in Norway during spring of 1940--probably at Fornebu
In the site :
http://krigsbilder.net/coppermine/index.php There is a search function : http://krigsbilder.net/coppermine/search.php (different results if putting a space or not between He and 111 ) There is also a profile shot of 5J+JT ( in search results for He 111 or 5J) |

Larry
Trying to work out how long it had been there as the fence behind is not damaged, been repaired. Think the 'body' is the starboard main wheel. Looks like it is gradually being robbed of spares between the photos - spinners, plexi etc. Does look like the remains of a Fiesler Storch. Would have required two new wings, engines, undercarried and repairs to underside so 70% seems reasonable. regards Mark |

Re: Trying to confirm forced-landing of He111 of 9./KG4, 5J+KT, in Norway during spring of 1940--probably at Fornebu
Hi.
I think 5J+JT must be the 22.04.1940 incident, as the words ´Zaun durchbrochen´is included in the loss record text. Too me this reads that the aircraft ended up outside of the perimeter of the airfield. Regards, Andreas B

I have this one in my 'He 111 norway 1940 unknown' file
I can't read the markings but it lies outside the fence...........Does it help or hinder in any way? Last edited by ChrisS; 10th October 2013 at 16:02. |
