there are still treasures to be found
look at this Fieseler Storch fuselage in a hangar somewhere in France.
There is a lot of work to restore it, but it is a wonderful base for a restoration, and probably with a lot of history behind. Unfortunately, the owner do not want to hear about selling it or giving it away: "it is a family aircraft" he states.. too bad ! GC Last edited by gilles collaveri; 29th September 2013 at 11:36. |

Re: there are still treasures to be found
@ Gilles,
crossing fingers that nobody is going to refurbish that bird with a Salmson engine to turn it into the "ugly duck" named Criquet. ![]() Santé Norbert

Re: there are still treasures to be found
Right, it may be a French Morane 505 Criquet, but... it may be also a genuine storch;
It was purchased from a scrapdealer in the 50's, so, who knows ?? I just wish it will not be scrapped: please keep fingers crossed; GC |

Re: there are still treasures to be found
Did you detect any ID-plates? Usualy there is a metal triangle plate at the aft section of the fuselage with the W.Nr. stamped on it.
Can I use one of the photos for my website? www.preservedaxisaircraft.com, can you give a geographical location for it? /Mike |

Re: there are still treasures to be found
Hi Mikael,
I thought about checking ID plates but as you could see, the aircraft cannot be reached (too high !!) Thanks for asking if you can use the pictures: the answer is "yes", and I would appreciate if you could show my name under these. Place: You can mention "in the South West of France". All best. GC |
