Hello Gabor, do you know the name and/or location of the airfield where Velasco crash-landed his damaged Il-2 on 8 March 1945 (and probably where 989 ShAP was based) ?

I think at that time 989 ShAP was still stationing at Kiskunlacháza (Budapest-S). Velasco's IL-2/m3, No. 11467 plane was also damaged on January 14, 1945 and was repaired overnight by his mechanic, техник-лейтенант Унгвицкий Евгений Александрович.
