Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Folks,
I just found an interesting Bf 109 G-6/AS in its overall RLM 76 livery, probably photographed May - June 1944 in Germany; only the upper part of what seems to be a "Gelbe" tactical number can be seen. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...in/photostream According to Prien and Rodeike 1995, III./JG 1, I./JG 5 and II./JG 11 were the first to be equipped with this subtype. I would be most interested into identifying unit and place. Thanks for your inputs Marc |
