Re: Ju 88 nose?

Yes and no. More variations has to be considered. Upon better checking version looks more like Ju 88 G-1 (early) as stated in some books (see in Brian Filley, Ju 88 in Action, Squadron No.113) but this I referred to (in post before) had four ports faired smooth.

"So can you confirm this is a Ju 88 G-6 with an 'early' nose such as seen on a C/R variant?" No, as in the meaning this (as G-6 version) had actual weapons in them like the C-6 / R-2.

No, as it seems lacking two gun holes (if I intrepret the photos correctly) but quick release attachents (for whole nose cone) are there, and cut-outs for SN-2 antenna supports - but one hole (on top center? if that is "a hole" as it has some sort of Ferros (Fe = Iron) attachment plate too) I am not able tell what was for.

Other possibility is that one or two extra weapons had been installed (or options for them retained also for the G-6) or cone actually coming from Ju 88 G-1 (early) or G-1 parts stock..

But on other hand, do we have real reason for doupt this can have not come from the Ju 88 G-6 620180 as stated?

I think this may not be the ultimate answer. Ah, so much to learn..
