Spitfire Mk.Ia L1030

Hello all,

I am wondering whether anyone here knows what codes Spitfire L1030 carried whilst assigned to 64 Sqn. She was a B Flight machine so would have been between L and Z. I have her codes whilst with 19 Sqn and 57 OTU but would dearly love to know her markings with 64.

Cheers,

Tim

Re: Spitfire Mk.Ia L1030

Hi John,

I just realised I fibbed a little in my original post. I have the 57 OTU codes but not the individual aircraft letter whilst with 19 Sqn.

With 57 OTU she was PW-A.

I am only really interested in her codes with 64 Sqn (SH-?) as she was the regular mount of one of my relatives.

If anybody can shed light on L1030's individual aircraft code letter whilst with 64 I would be very grateful.

Tim
